
A leading youth charity has spoken out following the horrific events in Southport where three young girls sadly lost their lives and eight other children left in critical condition.
UK Youth, a leading national youth charity have spoken out in light of the horrific events to take place in Southport on Monday 29th July after the lives of three young children were taken and more left wounded when a 17-year-old, from Banks in Lancashire entered a dance event in a ferocious knife attack.
In a statement on UK Youth's official website, ''Our thoughts remain with all those impacted by what took place, including the families involved, the practitioners leading the workshop, the emergency services and the wider community.
All children and young people deserve to be safe and without fear where they live, play and learn.
UK Youth is available for any local youth organisations which may need support at this traumatic time.''
Taylor Swift also paid tribute to those who were caught up in the attack.
She wrote on Instagram following Monday's attack "The horror of yesterday's attack in Southport is washing over me continuously and I'm just completely in shock.

A 17-year-old, from Banks in Lancashire, who was born in Cardiff, has been arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder, police confirmed, but police say his motivation remains unclear.
