Wolverhampton Young Citizen Awards Open for Nominations

Young Citizen Of The Year Awards

Wolverhampton is full of young people doing incredible things, and now it’s time to shine a spotlight on them. The 2026 Wolverhampton Young Citizen Awards are officially open for nominations, and the city’s community is being asked to help recognise the next generation of local heroes.

The awards celebrate young people aged 13 to 25 who are making a real difference whether it’s volunteering, leading projects, supporting friends, or helping improve their local neighbourhoods. Organisers say this is a chance to recognise the everyday heroes whose efforts often go unseen.

What You Need to Know

  • Who can be nominated: Anyone aged 13–25 who lives, works, or studies in Wolverhampton.

  • Who can nominate: Friends, family, teachers, youth leaders - anyone who knows someone making a difference.

  • Deadline: Nominations close on 31 May 2026, so don’t leave it too late!

Nominees are recognised for the impact they have on their communities. Past winners have been praised for everything from running charity fundraisers and supporting peers, to leading creative projects and campaigns that make a lasting difference in the city.

Why It Matters

For the community, the awards are a reminder of the positive energy and commitment young people bring every day. For the nominees, it’s an opportunity to have their efforts acknowledged, celebrated, and shared with the wider city.

Community leaders and organisers encourage anyone who knows a young person doing great work to submit a nomination. As they say, “Every young person making a positive difference deserves their moment in the spotlight.”

📣 Nominate someone amazing today and help Wolverhampton celebrate its youth heroes!
