From your first beat to your first finished track, you'll learn by doing - working with digital production tools, recording equipment and performance technology in a creative studio environment.
Beginner to Advanced Music Production
The programme runs across 16 weeks, split into two connected 8-week stages. The Beginner programme takes you from your first ideas through to a completed piece of music.
The advanced programme develops your production, creative and performance skills, helping you turn your music into a polished portfolio and live-ready performance.

Weeks 1–8
Week 1 — Welcome to Music Production
Get familiar with the studio environment, production software and equipment. Learn the basics of a digital audio workstation and start exploring your creative workflow.
Week 2 — Beats, Rhythm & Groove
Learn BPM, bars, beats and musical timing. Create your first drum patterns and explore how rhythm can shape the energy and feel of a track.
Week 3 — Building Your First Track
Start combining drums, bass, melodies and samples to build an original musical idea and develop it into a track.
Week 4 — Sampling & Sound Design
Explore samples, loops and digital instruments. Learn how to manipulate sounds and create your own unique sonic palette.
Week 5 — Songwriting & Arrangement
Learn how to turn musical ideas into complete compositions using structure, repetition, contrast, verses, choruses, drops and breakdowns.
Week 6 — Recording & Editing
Learn the fundamentals of recording vocals and instruments, then edit and arrange recordings to work within your production.
Week 7 — Mixing Basics
Discover how volume, EQ, effects and stereo positioning work together to create a clear and balanced mix.
Week 8 — Beginner Showcase
Complete an original piece of music, receive feedback on your production and prepare to progress towards the Advanced programme.
